Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
Answers to the questions we get asked most often.
Is OpenCamperCore Open Source?
No. On the one hand, we are bound by existing NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) not to publish certain information and implementations. Furthermore, consistent implementation of the NIS-2 directive requires encrypted firmware and corresponding security mechanisms. We also want to protect the development work we have invested.
We naturally offer documented interfaces so that integration into other systems is possible at any time.
Can I integrate your products into my own control solution, e.g. Home Assistant?
Yes, absolutely.
Our OpenCamperCore products have documented MQTT interfaces. In addition, the Power and Lumina models offer CAN and LIN interfaces for integration into existing control and automation solutions.
Is installation in motor vehicles permitted?
Yes.
Our products have CE marking as well as ECE-R10 approval with E-marking and are therefore suitable for use in motor vehicles.
I am interested in the beta programme.
Please fill in the form on our homepage and describe your current vehicle configuration as well as your wishes and requirements in a few bullet points.
We will get back to you promptly.

Is there a solution for the WomoLIN LIN controller?
Yes.
Our software is also fundamentally compatible with WomoLIN controllers. However, the respective devices must be sent to us for analysis and integration.
Since we are not the original seller or contractual partner of these products, we unfortunately cannot offer this service free of charge.
