Many modern systems offload their logic to the cloud. That is convenient as long as everything is reachable — but a recreational vehicle is underway precisely when the cloud is not.
With OpenCamperCore all essential functions run locally on the device in the vehicle. Heating, energy, lighting and vehicle control make their decisions on site. Cloud services are a useful extension — but never a prerequisite.
This keeps your vehicle fully controllable even when a provider shuts down its servers, a service is discontinued or there is simply no network.
